Mr President we wish we could give you a fitting present, but we can only hand you high mealie meal prices, a devalued kwacha, high fuel prices, high maternal deaths and many other problems. Mr President we forgot one thing, we are also handing to you a 24% Zesco tariff increase. Amid all this gloom, please find time to spend time with family on this special occassion. Knowing you the way we do, we hope you will not pass any celebrations in your usual style of saying “we can’t be eating cake while someone somewhere is going without a meal.” Despite that being noble, we would encourage you to atleast sit down and have tea with your family.
