A resident of Kasama’s Musenga Township has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with hard labor for undressing and touching the private parts of a 10-year-old girl.
This is in a case in which James Kangwa popularly known as “Bashi Kangwa-Musana” was charged with one count of indecent assault contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Facts before the Kasama High Court are that on 22 July 2013 embattled Kangwa who is believed to be in his late 60’s was found red-handed by a passerby in a gazetted forest near Kasama Village undressing and touching the girl’s private parts while he was taking off his trousers.
Judge Mary Mulanda who was sitting as Kasama High Court Judge presided over the case.
