CEEC extends submissions of 2014 empowerment application forms

The Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has extended the period for submission of application forms for 2014 empowerment loans by a further two weeks.

CEEC Head of Public Relations and Communications Glenda Masebe  this disclosed in a statement released to ZANIS  in Lusaka, yesterday.

Ms. Masebe says  that the submission date has been moved from February 28 to March 14, 2014.

She  said that the extension has been necessitated in order to allow the targeted citizens wishing to undertake investment projects adequate time to prepare their loan applications.

The CEEC Head of Public Relations and Communications explains that this was in line with the Commission’s newly launched strategy of ensuring that the rural industrialization strategy of the ministry of commerce is entrenched and implemented through economic empowerment programmes.

Ms. Masebe said this will be accomplished by providing businesses loans to targeted citizens and companies for the development of specific industries based on the comparative advantage of the country’s ten provinces .

She urged the general public to visit CEEC head and provincial offices and respective district local authorities and agricultural coordinators to obtain and submit the loan application forms.
